Nara Beibit

Her: Form (2025)

Her: Form main artwork

In this series, Nara reflects on how women are often forced to literally deconstruct and reconstruct themselves in order to conform to patriarchal expectations. Within such structures, a woman is not permitted to exist as an individual with a face, a voice, or an opinion - instead, she is fragmented into gestures of service, her body reduced to function. By cutting, repeating, and arranging the female form into symmetrical patterns, Nara Beibit transforms the body into something decorative, ornamental. This process exposes the mechanisms through which patriarchal culture romanticizes such reduction, framing it as cultural authenticity: the selfless mother, the all-sacrificing wife, the faceless bearer of tradition.
